Originally
created as part of the Pinellas County
Historical Museum
in 1961, the Archives and Library at Heritage
Village has evolved into Pinellas County's
principal resource center for the collection,
conservation and study of the history of
Pinellas County.
The
library features a collection of over 3,500
volumes dealing with topics
ranging from Pinellas County and Florida
history to genealogy and historic conservation
and preservation as well as a collection
of over 8,500 photographs on Pinellas County.

The largest collection of historical images of Pinellas
County, over 8,500 photographs. Sample photos of our past

More than 3500 volumes on Florida and Pinellas County
history, antiques and collectibles.
- Map Collection
Extensive collection of maps relating to Pinellas County.
- Yearbooks & City Directories
The most complete collection of Pinellas County school
and college yearbooks and city directories dating from
1908.
- Postcard Collection
A collection of several thousand original postcards from
the beginning of the 20th century representing vanishing
scenes of the county.
- Special Collections
260 cubic feet of archives containing documents of
early families, local businesses and late 19th century area
government documents.
- Scrapbooks
A wide variety of scrapbooks containing unique
photographs and recorded memories of life in Pinellas
County as viewed through civic, social organizations and
families.
- Audio-Visual Collections
The only repository with a collection of over 300 tapings
of the cable access television show Pinellas Past,
featuring interviews with early residents and oral histories
of individuals recounting daily life in Pinellas County.
