Environmental Assessments

Performing an environmental assessment during the initial stages of a Capital Improvement Project is critical to proper planning. It is at this time that it is easiest to realign a road or adjust a structure to avoid or minimize environmental impacts. This reduces costs to the County as the permitting process is easier and mitigation can be reduced or eliminated, thereby minimizing land purchases and costs associated with construction and monitoring of these areas.
