Good News for Businesses

The P2R2 Program can assist you in efforts to improve your bottom line by identifying potential measures that may reduce the consumption of raw materials, minimize waste disposal costs, reduce product liability, and maximize compliance with environmental regulations and requirements.

Program services are non-fee based and available to all Pinellas County businesses. Services include:

  • On-site waste-related assistance
  • Research and technical resources
(e.g. - identification of project funding opportunities, case studies, substitute products)
  • Industry and process-specific assistance
  • Recognition Program for business waste reduction efforts
The on-site waste assessments, mentioned above, are a free service offered by our staff. The individuals performing the assessment have versatile backgrounds with experience in areas such as: air quality, sewer system operations, hazardous waste regulations (RCRA), toxic wastes and solid waste management, groundwater and surface water monitoring, and watershed management.

Take the Pledge!

Commit to:
  • Substitute hazardous materials with non-hazardous or less toxic materials
  • Buy only what you need to minimize wasted materials
  • Separate wastes
  • Practice good housekeeping with chemicals and other wastes
  • Reuse and recycle when reduction is not possible

  • An on-site waste assessment
