Community Achievements in Pollution Prevention

Pollution prevention can provide the opportunity for local businesses to reduce the amount of wastes they generate and serve as a role model for the community. Unlike many environmental programs that require capital expenditures to control pollution, pollution prevention practices can reduce operational costs associated with production wastes.

Partners for Pollution Prevention Award Recipients
Partners for Pollution Prevention Award
The Partners for Pollution Prevention Award is given annually to facilities that go beyond regulatory compliance to achieve reductions in air emissions and wastes associated with operations. Candidates must meet award criteria.

Nominations are received prior to June 1st each year. Award recipients are notified by August 30th. An awards ceremony is held annually during Pollution Prevention Week (third full week of September).

If you would like to nominate your business for the Partners for Pollution Prevention Awards, contact Pollution Prevention staff at (727) 464-4761 or email your entry and a brief description of your efforts to P2@pinellascounty.org.
