Community Achievements in Emissions Reduction

Local businesses and organizations that utilize pollution prevention practices to reduce their facility's air emissions serve as a role model for our community. The Air Quality Division recognizes successful emissions reduction strategies.

The Partners for Pollution Prevention Award is given annually to facilities that go beyond regulatory compliance to achieve reductions in air emissions and wastes associated with operations. Candidates must meet award criteria.

Nominations are received prior to June 1st each year. Award recipients are notified by August 30th. An awards ceremony is held annually during Pollution Prevention Week (third full week of September).

If you would like to nominate your business for the Partners for Pollution Prevention Awards, contact Pollution Prevention staff at (727) 464-4422 or email your entry and a brief description of your efforts to AirQuality@pinellascounty.org.
