Working Together for a Better Future - What Pinellas County Can Do - What You Can Do
The Board of County Commissioners recently approved a new Housing Trust Fund to provide more affordable housing in Pinellas County. Establishing the trust fund is the first step in the Housing Pinellas initiative. Now, the county can actively pursue financial resources to provide construction financing and rental housing preservation.

Housing Programs
The Pinellas County Community Development Department administers 12 programs designed to create and maintain affordable housing. Each of these diverse programs is aimed at a specific customer. Housing Strategies for Employment Centers for the Pinellas Community
The Pinellas Community currently faces a major challenge, that of retaining and attracting new quality employers and growing the employment base. At the same time however, the County's vacant land inventory is virtually fully developed.

 

Loans Available for Handicap Accessibility
$3500 per applicant is available for homeowner, renters or landlords for handicap accessibility. Additional loans available at 0%, 1% or 3% interest if needed.

County Connection Centers CNeed answers to your questions about County Government? County Connection Centers are located throughout the County to give you information about county programs and services. First Time Homebuyers Program
Need A New Home? The Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County may be able to help. We assist individuals and families through tax-exempt bonds to provide below market rate loans so that income-eligible persons can buy their first home . The HFA offers additional assistance for down payment and closing costs through the Home Key 2nd program First Time Homebuyers Contact Fran Pheeny for details.
