20 - Plus Years of Building A Better Community

Over the past twenty years, the Housing Finance Authority has issued nearly one billion dollars in first-time home buyer loans and provided more than 4,300 rental apartments. We are proud of the numbers, but even more, we are proud of the reputation that this authority has built.HFA of Pinellas County has grown from our humble beginnings to become a leader in the industry recognized for our innovative financing structures, our responsible management, many successful programs, and a keen devotion to our mission. We have forged many successful partnership ventures with other counties and our local cities. By sharing our joint resources, we have all benefited from the exciting programs created for our residents. Whenever possible, the Authority customizes products to address the specific needs of our diverse applicants. Whether that involves helping a home buyer with their down payment or contributing dollars to make a rental complex happen, we're always open to ways to help.Our mission is to provide financing for decent, safe and affordable housing. But whenever we talk about housing, it always comes back to the people. Through the work we do, people are provided with an opportunity to live and work in a community they call home. Some find quality rental housing in our mixed-income communities. We will continue to focus on the needs of all our residents with the sure and certain knowledge that our actions are making a difference.>
